去年のロックダウンが始まったとき、私は正直言って、キィウィが政府が決めた様々なルールをきちんと守っている人が多いことに感動を覚えた。アメリカの市民の勝手な行動を取る人たちの様子をニュースで見ていたので、わ、キィウィすごいじゃん、と素直に感動した。
が、やはりどんなところにも身勝手な人がいる。
今日のニュースで、まだレベル４のロックダウン中のオークランドのカップルが、エッセンシャル・ワーカーであることを利用してこんなアホなことをやった。
車でオークランドのボーダーから出て、ハミルトンの空港から飛行機で南島のワナカへ行き、ホリデーホームで休暇を取ろうと試みたのだ。
怒り心頭に発する！
このスタッフの記事によると、カップルは２６歳女性と３５歳男性。おい、物事の良し悪しはわかる十分な大人だ。
今回のロックダウンでは感染者を出してない南島の人もレベル４に従って出かけることができないことに協力しているのに、その人達を危ない目に合わせる、本当に自分勝手なことをした。
来週裁判が行われ、６ヶ月刑務所に入るか、＄４，０００の違反金を払うことになるだろうとニュースで言っていた。
私は６ヶ月の刑を受けてほしい。きっと彼らの頭の中には、「見つかったら違反金払えばいいよねー」と言う思いがあったんじゃないかと思う。６ヶ月の間にいかに自分たちが恐ろしいことをしたのか、しっかりと感じ取ってほしいと思う。

１１日に前日比２倍の数字になっているが、また今日下降した。
明日の４時にレベルの発表がある。今オークランド市民は、レベル４から移行するため、政府の強い指示に従い検査を受けている。少しでも風邪の症状がある人は感染者が立ち寄ったところに行っていなくとも検査、そして結果が出るまで自己隔離。見落としているケースがないかを調べるため、コントロールができていることを確認するためだ。
そして、ファイザー製薬のワクチンが少なくなったので、スペインとデンマーク政府からワクチン買取が成約。ありがとう、スペインとデンマークの皆さん。感謝します！
